Our Work

  • Computer Vision for Plant Density & Theft Detection

I designed a proof-of-concept for an IoT system to help farmers protect their crops from theft. The system uses a solar-powered camera to periodically capture images of a field and applies computer vision algorithms to calculate plant density. By comparing the current density to previous readings, the system can detect sudden, significant drops—indicating a potential theft event—and automatically trigger an alert. This provides a more efficient and automated way for farmers to monitor their assets and improve crop security.

  • Agrist: Integrated Agricultural Information System

To address challenges in sustainable agriculture, I led the design and conceptualization of Agrist, an integrated mobile application aimed at empowering farmers with data-driven tools. The system was designed to make farm management easier and more efficient by providing features for real-time crop monitoring, predictive analytics for planting schedules, and personalized recommendations for resource management (like fertilizer and water). A key feature was a built-in consultation platform to connect farmers directly with agricultural experts, helping to improve crop yields and promote sustainable practices.
